Rachel Trego-Davis, LISW-S

Ever since I was young, I have known that I was called to serve and love others well… and that's what I do.

As a Clinician, I use a strength-based perspective and specialize in trauma, focusing on: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sexual Assault, Childhood Abuse, Medical Trauma, Secondary Trauma, and Traumatic Grief and Loss. In addition, I specialize in working with first responders and front-line workers who have experienced vicarious trauma from continued exposure. I also have extensive experience working in medical settings with individuals, couples, and families facing new diagnoses or complexities of medical needs. I am passionate about supporting individuals amid challenges, periods of uncertainty, and moments when they need to process with another person.

I have training in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Based Therapy (FBT), Motivational Interviewing, and I am a certified Trauma Informed Therapist.

When I'm not working at Guidewell, you can find me drinking coffee, spending time with my dogs, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my husband and family. I also work as the Associate Director of Psychosocial Health at Flying Horse Farms, where we have no horses. I lead mental health care and support for youth and young adults with serious medical or mental health diagnoses.

Education: I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the Nazareth University in Rochester, NY and my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College.
